Our Shopping Guide - Where to find things in Bangkok

We are living in the Sukhumvit area, and can give some advice regarding good locations to buy your groceries and things you may need while living in Bangkok. Now, we will concentrate on those venues that can be easily used by public transport (that is the skytrain and the subway), or on foot. This is not exactly what most tourists need, but may be of help to those who stay in Bangkok for a longer time.

Honestly, Bangkok offers a good shopping experience. Most goods you may be looking for are available. Whether prices are competitive is another matter. Surely imported goods, such as hardware, computers, cameras etc. are not as cheap as you may expect. Of course, locally produced goods such as handicrafts, are lower priced. Food items generally are much cheaper than in most 'home countries'. Bargains certainly can be found. However, also bear in mind, that consumer protection (and organizations that monitor and compare prices) is not that well developed.

See menu on the right for location and goods available.
