The Golden Buddha has been relocated to a brand new temple at the compound of Wat Traimit (close to its old location). The new structure is quite impressive, with the Buddha located at the upper level. The lower levels house a museum and exhibits. Admission to the Golden Buddha is 40 Bath. You can additionally visit the museum for 100 baht. At times, there are many visitors, all trying to take snapshots and videos of the Buddha, it can be a bit hectic.

What is the true color of the Buddha Image? Likely it is the one on the right.
When viewing the Buddha at the site, it has a greenish color, like on the left.
This likely because the image is very shiny indeed, and acts like a mirror. Therefore colors of the surrounding areas (like a greenish wall) cause this effect. |
