This may just be of interest to webmasters and for the many people that contact us to add their website to our directory.
We have created a new website www.directory108.com that attempts to be a directory of directories.
To promote your website there are essentially three ways :
- Create a lot of original content
- Have other websites (including web directories) link to your site
- Pay for advertising your site
Directory108.com lists a large number of websites where you can submit your website for inclusion. They are graded in different ways. Some are surely more important than others. So we ranked them according to their number of visitors, their PageRank. Quite a few directories accept free submissions (sometimes in return for a reciprocal link). Some only will consider paid inclusions. The larger web directories offer a regional section, where you will be able to add a Thailand-related websites. However, very often (depending on the subject of your website) you will be able to add it to an appropriate category in a general directory anyway.
Hopefully this new service is of some use to webmasters. It may be worthwhile, especially if you are looking for links, to spend some time browsing the different web directories listed (many we did not really know about, until we did a little bit of research).
By the way, the number 108 has a clear meaning in Buddhism and Thai language.
The number 108 refers to the 108 auspicious qualities of the Buddha. In Thai language the number is used to indicate a large or abundant amount.
