Banners with a width up to 160 pixels (max height also 300 pixels) can also be accepted. However, it will not be possible to place them on the right side of the page [see ad locations as examplified on this page].
Banners can be dynamic, but have to become static within 10 seconds.
Type of Linking :
We will use direct links to your site. As such you will possibly also be able to collect brownie points. A lot of our pages have a PR of 3 or 4.
As noted below, your ads will appear twice on each page.
Payment :
Only payment via Paypal can be accepted.
Advertisement Locations :
Two locations on each page. One location on the left below the third party advertisements you will notice on most of our pages. One location on the right upper side of the page. See 'Your Ad located here' outlays on this page.
On our main category pages (the pages linked to from the menu at the top of this page) your ad will only be located once.
Advertising Unit :
You can make suggestions. Otherwise we will locate your ads on the pages that seem most suitable. For example, if you advertise real estate on Koh Samui, we will locate your ad on the corresponding page. We will use our tracking software, to provide an average of 100 pageviews or more per day for your ad. Remember, these ads will be on pages where the interest in what you offer will be highest.
Price per Advertising Unit :
17 U.S. Dollar per month.
Obviously, this is a micro-advertising scheme. The main reason for using Paypal (which is very easy to use if you have both an email address, and a credit card available) are the small amounts of money involved. We could not possible afford the time to start using and checking bank account transfers for these amounts of money.
A first month trial period is suggested. That is, you pay us via Paypal (17 U.S. Dollar) to the email address we will provide, and send us your banner or logo.
If you are happy with the result, thereafter 51 U.S. Dollar transfer would be asked for further advertising, covering a 3-month period.
Requisites :
Be assured that we are eager to make you happy, so you continue to advertise long-term. For our own interest, we will also track how many times your banners are clicked, and can provide you with this info, if you do not have it yourself.
Background :
For the longest time of its existence, ThaiWebsites.com has elected not to provide direct advertising.
However, we continue to receive requests for advertising. So we oblige, and the offer above standardizes advertising procedures..
As such, we actually see this as providing a service. Our pages our often long, and not every website is noticed easily. Advertising gives everybody an added opportunity for exposure. We want to suggest that linking to our site also be effective, and make your site appear above the fold (let us know when you link to us). On quite a few pages, being listed on top, will actually give you more exposure, than whatever banner is on the page. You can see the number of 'clicks' for the most visited websites listed over a 2 month period here.
